April
2005
By Norma Jean Ream
This April, we begin the month with some
minor reviews and reorientation to our plans before moving ahead. March
culminated with much energy of changes. We had several planets changing
directions, which may have left some feeling a little unbalanced. The
lead into April has the combined sense of some doors opening and the
release of delays, yet without the driving energy to push directly
ahead. The high side of this is that as we begin to see possibilities we
are more cautious about rushing into new projects. The first two weeks
helps to clean up unfinished business. The second half of the month will
pick up steam steadily.
There are eclipses this month. The Solar
eclipse on April 8 holds passion and purpose. It is a good time to use
the power of your dreams and optimism to gain the confidence that there
will be follow through to reach desired goals. There is a lot of fire in
this first lunation of the month. Several planets in Aries give a
pioneering thrust. Mars, ruler of Aries is in Aquarius, sign of unity,
fairness, and humanitarianism. This makes it easier to work in groups
and for community betterment. Add a fruitful combination of ambition and
will power and you have the makings of a very action packed first two
weeks.
The Lunar eclipse on April 24 puts an
emphasis on relationships of all types. Agreements may be challenging to
accomplish. That is difficult enough on the personal level, so try to be
patient and willing to hear the other side of the story in order to come
to terms. The Lunar eclipse represents more personal and emotional
energy. It brings out what we have not been able to see due to being too
close to the situation. It is a reality check on personal truth. The
fixed signs of this eclipse show stubbornness and lack the potential for
compromise. If you must take on a fight, be sure you can win.
On the national level, we may see some
mounting pressures in international relationships. The coming weeks have
the final contact of important transits to the USA chart that have been
brewing since the fall election. The international community is going to
demand that the US government take greater responsibility for war
crimes. Exposure of covered up information is going to put leaders in
the hot seat. Expect bravado, rebelliousness, and an attitude of
exemption from the President. He has transits that will have him acting
like an Emperor, under no one’s control. More of this through the spring
and summer is not going to improve the standing of the USA in the eyes
of the world.
April is not going to be the best month
for making big changes. Better to ride the tide and wait. May brings
more opportunity for compromise, if not agreement. 2005 is a
transitional year in many ways. The best focus is to work toward
personal security and not stretch beyond your means.
