June 2005
By Norma Jean Ream
Hopes, dreams, and inspirations give us
a boost in June. The New Moon on June 6 is stimulated with the movement
of the air element. The giant, expansive Jupiter turns to direct motion
on the night of June 4. It has been in its retrograde travel since
February 1. This, in addition to a very slow Saturn has had the effect
of slogging through knee-deep mud. It has been difficult to see the
forward motion of projects started as far back as October 2004.
Everything seems to be picking up speed in June. The change of direction
and the New Moon in Gemini support a very positive and spiritually
enhanced link between Jupiter and Neptune, offering potential for
improved relations in many ways.
This month could also bring some
previously hidden factors out in the open on the political front.
Mercury, planet of ideas and information will join with the Sun and
Moon, and all will oppose Pluto, planet of power, control, and deeply
penetrating probes. Long standing investigations can settle. Decisions
that have been held up by investigations will find resolution. Even in
our personal lives, we will find it easier to speak directly and tell
the truth faster. Resolutions will mark the month of June.
Mars, planet of action, war, and
motivation has been appearing in the news through some very negative,
even horrific stories in May. Its travel through the sign Pisces
exhibits some out of control actions that involve violence and murder.
This period is from May 1 to June 13. These stories show how a planet
can operate in very negative ways when it goes through a sign of no
boundaries and passive aggressive behaviors. Mars enters its own sign of
Aries on June 13, where we can expect the energy to shift to bring out
more of the hero and the pioneer. This passage will last until the very
end of July. The down side is that Mars and Aries rule fires, so we can
expect to see some intense burning through this time.
The Summer solstice on June 21 is a
Full Moon. This period gets the energy moving with a shift from
transitional mutable energy to active cardinal energy. Creativity is
very high through the end of the month and into early July. Jupiter will
be brightly visible in the summer sky, making a statement of hope, and
calling out the energy of peace. Where there have been struggles, we
will find the desire to resolve issues through more positive
communication. Mercury joins with Venus, planet of love, beauty and the
polarity of giving and receiving. They conjoin with Saturn to make solid
commitments.
Saturn, planet of order, structure, and
authority is quickly speeding through the end of Cancer, retracing its
steps made last fall. Saturn stopped short of completing the sign just
days prior to the Presidential election. It will change signs into Leo
on July 16. We may see some additional pressure on Mr. Bush, due to the
completion of his Saturn return. This 30-year cycle tends to restructure
our lives where old crystallized patterns have become limiting and
unfulfilling. Responsibilities are focused toward the new cycle. Over
the remaining summer into fall, Saturn will cross into the President’s
first house, highlighting his position as a powerful influence in world
affairs. He will be exhibiting more of his Leo rising persona in public
appearances and his attempt to garner further international support. Leo
is the sign of drama and theater. Saturn in Leo can bring out the
dramatization of matters by people who demand respect with pomp and
ceremony. It could start to look even more as if our president thinks
himself king.
