Kepler College Graduation 2004

May, 2004

By Norma Jean Ream

Through the month of May we will see some shifts of energies that give us a mixture of improvement in some areas and challenges to forward motion in other ways. To begin the energies of May, the Full Moon on May 4 is a Total Lunar Eclipse, whose path crosses the turbulent war torn area of Iraq. Connecting planetary lines highlight Washington, D.C. Therefore, expect that continued bombings, and rebellion against US occupying forces will be strong.

On the more personal, one-on-one level of life, relationships in general may be turbulent with petty personal issues turning into “life or death” issues and challenging us to find ways to compromise and not push things to the ultimate limits. The themes that capture us now will be personal goals and desires with a strong interest in individual freedom. But before long, our risk-taking and individually driven plans bring us to consider the long term security that will be affected by rash actions in current time. We may be taking another look at what we thought was a good idea during the last weeks of April. As Mercury moves out of its retrograde shadow mid-month, practical ideas will take over in our thinking and planning. Things will begin to feel more solid and new seeds of prosperity can begin to take hold.

Venus will turn retrograde on May 17 and retrace its steps in Mercury’s sign Gemini. Mercury moves into Taurus, Venus’ sign and they become allies. This is called mutual reception, and they support each other’s needs. Together they work very creatively. Venus goes direct again on June 29, but does not leave Gemini until August 10. That gives us almost 12 weeks to apply beautification ideas to our environments and revive contact with loved ones, or reorganize financial goals. With Jupiter, the planet connected to larger financial institution, going direct in motion on May 4, with the Full Moon, economic stress can be relieved by creative new ideas for financing and restructuring expenses. The two weeks until the New Moon is a period for results to finally come into being. The fruit of a long winter’s wait can produce some unexpected results in this time.

The New Moon on May 18 precipitates some transitional energy that may bring out serious secrets that will start some interesting unraveling details to be revealed at the government level. I have mentioned before the comparison of astrological energies between our current administration and the Nixon administration 30 years ago. It is very likely to become obvious to all that our President has been covering up secrets that could be very detrimental to his continuing employment. Mid-June is the time period when truth will be revealed and accountability demanded. More on this topic next month.

The best days for taking action this month are May 4, 10, 18, 19, and 23. Days for caution are May 25, 27, and 30.
