A Comparison of Candidates and the USA Chart
There must be strong, important connection between the birth charts of
the people who become involved with government and the chart of the
country. This is what brings people into the limelight and the hot seat
of power, or of having impact. What attitudes and talents a person
brings to their service will influence the choices they make and the
flow of events that follow.
George W. Bush has the birth chart of a man of power and leadership,
with a military-like will of strategic planning and move making. His
planets have strong connections to the chart of the USA. Much of his
overt charm is in contrast with his underlying motivation for the covert
activity that is natural to a person born into a family of power. Mr.
Bush is having strong current influences that are going to continue the
pressure of accountability. He has some major cycles coming to a close,
which also initiates a time of new beginnings. One of these cycles deals
with the structure of our lives and brings the harvest of our actions of
30 years. Another cycle is only 12 years long and is relative to our
perceptions, judgments, and the benefits we gain from making the most of
opportunity. Another cycle of 2 years, dealing directly with action and
motivation brings out the action for bridging long range goals with the
best use of opportunity. The results of these cycles are influential on
multiple levels of life; from the inner personal to the collective
events we create.
Bush’s Inauguration chart highlighted Mars in the area of open enemies,
and we knew he was intending war. The USA Mars is also in the area of
open enemies of the national chart. George Bush has the revolutionary
planet, Uranus connecting to the USA Mars. Uranus brings chaos and
expresses the President’s intention to take action on his own,
independent of others. The meaning of Uranus combined with Mars is
literally ‘gunshots’. Unfortunately, the USA chart shows that there is
an acceptance of war in the general worldview and that it is often
glamorous or idealistic in the eyes of the American people. Bush has the
talent to play on this trait of the people and to insight righteous
fervor.
In contrast, John Kerry is a more inspirational man with a desire to
bring things into alignment, as opposed to pushing from an ego
motivation. His background and education bring out his courage to
address injustice and uphold decency and “right action”. Kerry’s birth
chart also connects strongly to the USA chart and in particular the
planet, Mars. He actually has a grouping of planets that nest around the
USA Mars, and his natal Sun (representing personality) is on the USA
Ascendant (the point of outer expression) and opposes Mars. This gives
Kerry a way to get far more intimate with the American people and
establish his own brand of leadership. He has more “fatherly”
characteristics, some have described him as too serious, even dull. This
trait comes from his Moon with Saturn (the planet of authority and
responsibility) and he will tend to take a more traditional approach to
military matters. He will be more cautious in his actions, yet he is a
risk-taker when need be. He has a more reserve and educated manner, than
Mr. Bush. However his group of planets are in the dual sign, Gemini, and
he often seems to flip-flop on his statements. Gemini, the sign of
communication, orients one to look at all the options, and choices tend
to be multiple. Kerry’s Mercury, the ruling planet of Gemini is in
pragmatic Capricorn, making him committed once his choice is stated.
Kerry takes his responsibilities seriously, and stands up for his
principles. His birth chart’s connections with the USA chart support a
much more solid and harmonious international leadership. Unlike Bush,
who acts independently, without support internationally. Kerry has
planetary influences that are more likely to bring a bridging of
differences, and attention to basic life needs of common people. Kerry’s
philosophy of life can bring inclusiveness, where Bush’s policies have
been divisive.
Do I have a prediction on the election? Yes. John Kerry’s influences
suggest enhanced personal power and intensification of self-expression.
George W. Bush has influences that suggest a change of home and status.
He is likely leaving the White House. His period of supreme leadership
is over. The chart for the close of the election has some questionable
qualities, so the votes remain to be counted. Yet, as a national event,
the greatest emphasis is in the arena of young people, children, and the
arts. If young people vote, it could change the world.
Special note to those born during 1964-66:
This month before the National Election is a time of serious thought and
weighing of collective issues that are paramount in deciding the future
path of the nation. The dramatic period of mid-1960 is the only example
of people uniting at a grassroots level to make a difference in the
future of our country. People who were born during this period can have
great influence on how THIS race is decided. This group has the power of
radical thought, but a strong sense of passivity as well. The issues of
power versus powerlessness are becoming something that you must face and
participate in changing. It is timely to embrace your personal power to
participate in collective transformation.
