Kepler College Graduation 2004

September, 2004

By Norma Jean Ream

Fussy, temperamental, and agitated may be common sentiments for the month of September. This month’s sign, Virgo, is about attention to details, perfection, and to that end, worry. There is also a strong virtue of service and a willingness to work hard to achieve goals.  There is a group of planets passing through the sign and all moving ahead into Libra with the Fall Equinox, September 24. Jupiter, the slowest moving of the group, marks a change that is relative to world-view, philosophy, judgment and integration.

The other planets involved include Mars, associated with actions and intentions; the Sun, which spotlights monthly themes, and Mercury, ruler of the sign. Mercury is associated with communications, learning, understanding, and communications. Virgo is its best sign.

Watch the Presidential campaign heat up around mid-month when the New Moon (September 14) occurs with the Virgo grouping of planets that includes an opposition to Uranus, bringing out revolution, and an orientation to uniting the commonality of people versus the inhumanity of corporations and big government. This will bring out stronger public opinion than we have seen on network news. Demonstrations at the Republican Convention on the Full Moon, August 29 have set a new level of concern for civil rights. This time-period activates the age group born during mid-1960s who have very powerful configurations in the signs of Virgo and Pisces. Their voices, their numbers will be expanding as they feel the call to serve their country on the side of individual rights.

Truth and integrity become very potent tools in decision making as we try to sort out stories that surface about the candidates. This month we must analyze and integrate our own perceptions of what is happening at the world level.

Bring these ideas home to the personal level and we find ourselves being more aware of how we are interacting with those closest to us. There is the potential to become fully honest, being true to self while opening to others so that they can know us more deeply. The idea of being REAL is strongest in this time of Virgoian analysis and truth in the first 3 weeks of September.

The movement of Jupiter into Libra on September 26 will be a strong indicator of changes coming through the year ahead. Jupiter is a planet of expansion and inspiration, and it gains strength by changing signs. Jupiter rules high finance and speculation. The past year in Virgo, allowed Jupiter’s significations go out of control. As it changes, there is a reining-in of expansion, market prices, and speculation investments.

Libra is the sign of harmony, equality, balance, and relationships. This sign is at the top of the United States chart and represents ideals that guide our country’s place in the world. As Jupiter enters Libra, the pre-election advertising, story-telling (interviews), and promotional programs will have a lot of influence on the public. October will bring two eclipses, which are very potent times for change. Use September for practical projects that resemble preparing for winter, for the winter ahead has unexpected twists.
