In some respects, the new Fall energy brings good along with the bad. Weather factors have been dramatic, even catastrophic is some areas of the country. The Lunar Eclipse on September 17 was a Full Moon in late Pisces joined with Neptune in the end of Pisces, setting up a season of an abundance of Water. Neptune continues to be in the energetic center of the two other outer planets, Pluto, and Uranus to create an extreme storm. For example, Hurricane Helene pounded the gulf Florida coast with category four power of wind, rain, and sea surge.
The second Fall eclipse is a Total Solar south node eclipse in Libra, the sign of balance, diplomacy, negotiations, and justice is on October 2. This period between the eclipses seems to have an emphasis on international and interpersonal relationships.
In your personal life, you may be feeling that there is confusion and misunderstandings on boundaries, expectations with unspoken agreements, or finding that you are not speaking the same language. As the Sun travels on from the opposition to Neptune, many things become clearer and more defined.
The Sun and Mercury have recently moved into Libra, while Mars has entered Cancer and beginning to square the social planets. Mars is not happy in this emotional sign ruled by the Moon where it is fussy about personal territory and argumentative, as it is a sharp aspect to the nodes, a point of important relationships. Mars is the planet of guns, armaments, military strategy, and forceful use of energy. Gun violence in America is a hot topic in election discussions. There is an expansion of war activity in the world. And yet, Cancer is a sign of the Water triplicity, with Scorpio and Pisces, which are more pacifist type energies. This could lean decisions in that direction. During the last days of September until October 7, Mars will be in a Grand Trine with Saturn in Pisces, and Venus in Scorpio. There is passion, commingling of desires, and a need for deeper commitment in this very emotional combination of energies.
Saturn and Mars can make power agreements, as between powerful allies against a common enemy. They are factors representing governments and power brokers with financial elements of support and the manufacturing of arms.
Then, as Venus moves into Scorpio, Mars’ sign known for secrecy, intelligence. Venus is the planet of money, values, and favors. The triple link of these planets is especially strong Oct.4 to 7. The Moon joins Venus in Scorpio the 4th through the 6th, which could be good for making agreements for joint ventures that promise growth and mutual benefit for all parties. It can be intensely personal.
On the 8th, Jupiter stations retrograde until February 4. It happens to standstill on the United States Mars at 21 Gemini. Jupiter is expansive and exaggerates and can be focused intently on some truth or information relative to Military plans and commitments to allies. This is a turning point moment to watch.
Mercury will trine Jupiter providing agreement and shared information. Venus and Mars complete their trine in mutual reception, feeling that they both benefit.
Pluto stations direct on October 11th and the Moon will conjoin it as it leads the way into the sign Aquarius, where Pluto will ingress on November 19 to stay for its 20-year progress through the sign of brotherhood, equality, and liberty, values America was founded on. These are monumental times of change and integrated growth in humanity, and civilization. We are entering a season of introspection and self-revelations that extend out to all relationships.
On October 17, there is a Full Moon that is almost an eclipse, so it may appear unusual in color and halo. The Moon will be at 25 Aries, Sun 25 Libra, Mars 22 Cancer, and widely Pluto at 29 Capricorn, forming a Grand Cross in Cardinal signs. This portends change, drama, power plays, disruption, and a big turning point. This is just a little over two weeks from the Presidential Election.
If we place this with the United States chart, the Sun is in the house of administration, the Moon in the chart area of homeland and the people, the Mars is conjoining the US Mercury in the eighth house of Debt and Death, and Pluto is in its last movement from its return position in the US second house of Treasury. Venus is at 29 Scorpio, in trine to Neptune 27 Pisces, and Pluto 29 Capricorn in sextile to both, making a secret agreement that is behind the scenes and in the back room metaphorically.
In addition, Uranus, planet of chaos and sudden, unexpected, revolutionary energy of rebellion, is connected in this picture for the Full Moon by opposing Venus, still in trine with Pluto, and sextile to Neptune. Picture a web like pattern that promotes easy energy to flow that can overwhelm the system trying to maintain the structure. It can also be compared to a Dam suddenly giving way under the pressure of water. We might find we are applying the ideas to some event that occurs and brings a level of chaos and devastation much like the monster hurricanes occurring this season. But we could apply the picture to the government and events that rock the stability of the government. A Shut Down over Debt seems to apply.
Taking this to a personal level, the energy can stir conflict and emotionally charged exchanges. Yet, there is also a feeling of a willingness to negotiate and to bring conclusion to struggles where we find that true deep feelings are what bring families and friends through periods of change and outside hardships.
Mutual purpose is what can heal and redirect these energies of social and personal changes. Trines and Sextiles are aspects that have an ease of connectivity and creativity. As a buffer against the dramatic hard aspect exchanges in this period, we have commonality, and we benefit from collaboration and mutual respect.
