The New Moon for February occurs on January 29 in Aquarius around sunrise in Washington, DC. The energy represented is going to present a great deal of talk, speeches, declarations, negotiations, and boundary discussions. With the new Presidential administration assigning new people in newly created positions, there will necessarily be a fair about of confusion and busyness at the Capital. President Trump said, “My proudest legacy will be that of a peacemaker and unifier.”

Saturn rules Aquarius, and is now in Pisces, this water sign makes Saturn’s usual exacting standards less clear and defined. Aquarian themes include honesty, intelligence, and group collaboration. Saturn in Pisces can be vague, diffuse, and ambiguous. This reflects the changes coming out of one administration into the new one, where many obscure topics will be redefined as Saturn moves into Aries in May.

The new President is focused on realigning values in government and society, and returning law and order, Saturnine qualities. This Aquarian season begins with both powerful changes coming and expansive opportunity for businesses to grown in the new year. Especially businesses relating to innovative technologies in energy, travel, and communications. The Air signs allow things to arise, like latest ideas, discoveries, and inventions. They also promote communication and resolutions to problems.

This New Moon marks the Chinese New Year beginning the Year of the Wood Snake, symbolizing reflection, growth, and personal transformation. The Snake’s characteristics include being wise, calm, strategic, determined and goal oriented. It will be less of the fiery tempest of the Dragon of 2024.

Jupiter, planet of growth, expansion, and ‘the dissemination of information on a broad scale,’ stations direct on February 3, at 11 Gemini, and in trine with the New Moon. Mercury and Jupiter are harmoniously aligned. This will be a marker for a return to discussions and decision-making over previous issues of social justice, free speech, immigration, and our southern borders. There will be better opportunities to resolve issues now that election rhetoric is behind us. This could mean that some issues just complete without further dialogue.

Also on February 3, Venus is the first planet to enter 0 Aries, considered the World point. It will become especially important in coming months. Venus is the peacemaker and leads with heart and compassion. Mercury will be the next to cross on the 4th of March. Both planets will retrograde and cross back to Pisces, in a way, initiating Neptune and Saturn to this sphere of World and global leadership.

The Full Moon in Leo February 12, peaks with the energy of rebellion and revolution. Voices get a little louder. The whole week of February 10th to the 15th, is intense, as the Sun and Mercury complete Aquarius, they both square with Uranus, which can represent a trend of reactionary public drama.

Uranus just stationed direct on January 30, at the same degree it was in May, 2024, 23 Taurus. In the next month, it will make the third pass over President Trump’s Midheaven, the most public area of the natal chart. It puts him fully on the World Stage with authority to make changes. The timing of these personal and collective alignments of outer planets with the emphasis on 0 Aries will have historical significance this year.

Pisces season begins on the 18th. The Moon will be in Scorpio and its ruler Mars is in Cancer about to turn direct on the 23rd. These are all the water signs being activated. We can expect an environmental weather shift from Air to Water to be a change from wind to rain, even potential flooding. Mars in trine to Saturn could mean an abundance of turbulence in both weather and social environment. The two malefic planets out of their normal elements act in challenging and unstable ways, contributing to unexpected outcomes.

The New Moon is on February 27 at 9 Pisces, beginning to square Jupiter. All the planets are momentarily direct in motion. The tension of the planetary combinations will focus on strategic planning. Saturn and Mercury together take in a wide field of view from the sign Pisces, ruled by Jupiter, and suggesting ideas that might seem exaggerated, but offer unclaimed rewards. These planets interacting will give a period of review, putting a hold on some changes in regulations, and affecting broad reorganization of government agencies.

Venus, planet of values, social standards, and finances, is in Aries, ruled by Mars, which is now direct in Cancer. The action of Mars is to cut-back. This will reflect a trimming of expenditures, withholding funds, and a slow-down in the housing market over the next couple of months.

Venus will retrograde in Aries on March 2 until April 13. It will travel back into Pisces to mix with Neptune and Saturn while they finish their last degrees of Pisces, before entering Aries. Mercury will also retrograde through the same zone as Venus, stationing on March 15. I will cover more of this Pisces-Aries cluster in the March issue.

May Peace be with US All.
