The passing of Pope Franciscus I was a shock to the World on Easter Sunday. He was a classic icon of compassion.

Saturn, North Node, and Venus were all at the same degree of Pisces in a line-up of planets that are visibly sparkling in the morning rise ahead of the Sun, making a special symbolism in the cosmology of this alignment. A beloved Father figure is remembered as “one of the people.”

This was the third meeting of Venus, the representation of values, and things that make the world more loving and beautiful, with the planet of rules, boundaries, structures, life lessons, and sense of responsibilities that together offer the possibility of workable agreements that move life forward in a growing and optimistic way. The possibility of peace negotiations where wars are destroying life is a good outcome to this end of Pisces passage into the fresh beginning of a new cycle through the Zodiac portal of 0 Aries.

The New Moon on April 27 still showed the planets clustered in the early pre-dawn morning hours with Saturn now leading the stellium, which suggests that some actions of authority figures may not work out as intended in the days to come. Mercury is past the place of its retrograde and begins to open new avenues of thinking and communication. This is a time we can start to see new events occurring that are turning points to inter-personal communications and higher levels of understanding the universe.

A Mercury in Aries personality can sometimes be short-tempered, sharp-tongued, impatient, and single-minded, expecting immediate results. This becomes challenging in mediating negotiations between opponents who are fixed in their perspectives of the root of the disagreements that led to the bloody conflict that has taken too many innocent lives.

Neptune is now in the first degree of Aries, and by the 25th of May, Saturn will also ingress into Aries. This Spring is a time of momentous changes and new discoveries. Saturn represents reality, the facts, the accepted beliefs of what IS. Neptune rules things like what is unbounded, like oceans and vast space. It psychologically represents things that are illusory, sensory, but without “substance” emerging out of the imagination or dreams. The two planets meet about every 14 years in different signs. This a rare to have them together crossing the ‘World point’ 0 Aries. This means they are influencing the collective and global life force. They will make their full conjunction on February 20, 2026, at 0 Aries 43. It means forward motion with New Beginnings for the planet.

At the New Moon, Venus and Saturn were still in the last degrees of Pisces, which is an excellent place for Venus, planet of Peace. Venus’ tight conjunction with Saturn brings a somber tone to meetings of significant importance, like Peace negotiations. Might just bring about an end of the Ukraine-Russia war.

Last February 2, 2025, was Venus’ first entrance into Aries occurred and the first proposals came up around Peace Talks between Russia and Ukraine. Since then, Venus turned retrograde on March 3, and it traveled back into late Pisces to reconnect with Neptune and Saturn, which has showed some flexing on both sides. Venus has been direct since April 12, as plans formed to meet for talks on April 23, when the Sun in Taurus squared Pluto in Aquarius, and Ukraine’s Zelensky stood firm on his territorial boundaries. Peace talks might continue to work through a process before Venus re-enters Aries on April 30, when the energy of renewal and new agreements will be strong. At the time of writing, there was still the potential of agreement.

The first days of May have some changes. Venus meets with Neptune, as an ambassador into a new era. Neptune’s past entrance to the 0 Aries point, beginning of the Zodiac, was 164 years ago, on April 12, 1865, at the start of the American Civil War. Let us hope that this passage joined with Venus, becomes a new era of Peace and Higher Spiritual growth for Humanity.

Pluto will station retrograde on May 4. Mars will begin to separate from the strong opposition the two have held since April 23, and when the Sun also was square during several days. It was no wonder Peace Plans were temporarily fouled. Through May the intense power struggle energy will wane. Mars is past its retrograde place and starts to trine Venus, both in Fire signs which can stimulate connections of love or agreement. New negotiations could bring stubborn leaders back into negotiations. The energy is attractive and can be enthusiastic. Venus is Aries is bold, direct, and autonomous. When we apply their dynamics to the political geopolitics, we may see more reasonable ideas start to crop up among international leaders.

The Full Moon will be May 12, with the Sun near Uranus, and the Moon in Scorpio. The Sun and Moon each make a positive aspect to Saturn, still in Pisces at that time. Venus is reaching her position of the last retrograde, ready to move into fresh zodiacal territory. Financial matters are likely to become more stable and secure as the global community steps back from such a high focus on war-talk.

The Sun with Uranus can mark revolutionary discoveries and turning points in history relative to Human Rights, Independence, and Freedom. This Full Moon on May 12 offers the increasing potential for a level of technological discoveries that may instigate a massive shift of perspective so vast that people over the world are talking about the ‘giant questions of REALITY’ over the summer season.

Mercury is being a negotiator between the slower planets mid-month. It squares Pluto on the Full Moon. Then, it squares Mars on the 17th, while the Sun conjuncts Uranus, both aspects are volatile aspects.

On May 20, the Sun enters Gemini, the sign of a million questions, and never-ending inquiry. As it does, it soon trines to Pluto in Aquarius, a sign of advanced social concepts. Mercury will conjunct Uranus on May 24, just before Saturn’s ingress into 0 Aries. Mercury enters its own sign prior to the New Moon on May 26, at 6 Gemini. Sun joins Mercury on May 29, establishing a new Mercury cycle, full of promise and possibilities. Uranus will ingress into Gemini on July 8, initiating another shift into a new 7-year period of Uranus’ travel. It will hold a steady trine aspect to Pluto for a couple of years, with Neptune in the half-way between position., signifying unique possibilities for communication, travel, energy production, information creation, deductions, and expansive possibilities of solving the scientific problems and questions of the ‘new era of energy and being-ness.’
